Shillong, June 28: Arms with the court order the Chief Executive Officer of the Shillong Municpal Board Mr E Kharmalki said that they have dismantled the shop at Iew Polo as per the order of the Court who gave the rulling in favor of the Government.
The CEO said that the project for construction of the new super market complex at Iew Polo has been delay for three years due to the pending case in the court, since the court has pass the ruling in favor of the of the government they have taken these decision to dismantle the shop which is more than four hunred.
The eviction drive was done under tight security, the superintendent of police (City) Mr Vivek Syiem personally supervise to see that no untoward will take place at the time of the eviction drive conducated by the Shillong Municipal Baord.
The CEO of the SMB said that now they will be able to implement the project for the new supper market complex which will cost more than 24 cores. Mr Kharmalki said that most of the readers are cooperating in the eviction drive.(SP News)
