Shillong, May 01: The Eastern Command Inter Formation Hockey Championship 2018-19 was conducted at Assam Regimental Centre with effect from 23 April to 01 May 2018.
A total of 14 teams from various formations of Eastern Command participated in the championship. In the thrilling final match played between 101 Area and 71 Infantry Division on 01 May 2018, 101 Area defeated 71 Infantry Division by a score of 09-02 goals and won the Eastern Command Inter Formation Hockey Championship 2018-19.
101 Area Hockey Team primarily consisted of Assam Regiment players hailing from North East India. Major General Pawan Saini, Chief of Staff, 101 Area was the chief guest of the event.
