Shillong, July 20: The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony Mr Kennedy C Khyriem, MLA & Parliamentary Secretary (Tourism, Arts & Culture, etc) expressed his happiness that the O/O DSO EKHD & MJA took keen interest to promote and popularizing judo the only martial arts form in the Olympic Games till now in the District amongst the youths and students communities which will help them to be free from any influences of negativity in their life.
Mr Kennedy stress for more improvement considering Manipur in North, India as well as Internationally, no one can deny that Manipur have excel well in martial arts and other games as well. He appeals to all especially women to take up judo and other martial arts forms for sports as well as for self defense as the crimes against women have been increasing day by day now which is condemnable by one and all.
This in turn will be able to help safeguard the society at large and women community. Medal ceremony came to an end with a vote of thanks and distribution of mementoes By O/O DSO EKHD Shillong to all who makes this competition comes to an end with grand success.
