Shillong, November 10: Bansara Eye Care Centre in collaboration with Society for Promotion of Eye Care and Sight and World Diabetes Foundation, Denmark, will be observing the World Diabetes Day on the 14th of November 2016.
In observing the World Diabetes Day 2016, we are organizing a Global Diabetes Walk 2016 on the 14th of November 2016 at 7:00 am from Fire Brigade Ground. This initiative is being taken to make the people aware about the Diabetes and its complications which could lead to an eye disease known as Diabetic Retinopathy.
Several Institutions, NGO’s, the Dorbar Shnong and many others would be participating in the walk. The route for the walk will be as follows: Fire Brigade Ground – St. Edmund’s College- Dhankheti – Cathedral – Don Bosco – Laitumkhrah Police Point – Laitumkhrah Presbyterian Church – and will culminate at Fire Brigade Ground.
Mr Antonio War, MDC, has kindly consented to grace the function as the Chief Guest and will also be Flagging off the Walk.
