The MPCC march to RBI office in Shillong submit memo demand right of withdrawal of own money

Shillong, January 18: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) let by Takam Sanjoy AICC Coordinator for Meghalaya today march to the RBI Zonal office in Shillong to demonstrate their protest against the demonetization of the BJP Government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as announced on the 8th November 2016.

Above hundred congress officer bearer assemble at the Dhakheti parking lot at around 11.AM and March to the RBI office located at Cleave Colony to demonstrate their protest against the demonetization and submit memorandum to the RBI Governor.

In the memorandum, the Congress party demand from the RBI grant of “Right of withdrawal of won money” to the people of India by lifting all restriction. The RBI and Modi Government should issue a white paper and answer all the question and demand raised in the Memorandum by the Congress party on behalf of the people of India.

In the memorandum the party congress said that “RBI’s autonomy and statutory powers have been subjected and compromised responsibility lies at the door step of the RBI Governor for this erosion of credibility”.

The Congress party demand that the RBI governor must resign taking responsibility for the “Demonetization Mess” and also permitting Modi government to encroached upon the jurisdiction of the RBI’s autonomy as India’s financial regulatory be restored.

The Congress leaders who were present in the march let by the AICC coordinator are, S Husian MLA from Assam as observer, Smti Ampareen Lyngdoh, Mr Ronnie V Lyngdoh, Minister in the Government of Meghalaya and MLAs and MDC  and the working president of the MPCC Mr Jamnes Lyngdoh with others party owrkers.
