Shillong January 17: The Indian Army is conducting a Recruitment Rally for male candidates at Dikki Bandi Stadium, Tura for all the eleven Districts of Meghalaya from 2nd to 8th April, 2017 from 5:00 AM onwards. The recruitment is for the posts of Soldier General Duty, Tradesman, Soldier Technical and Soldier Clerk category.
For Soldier General Duty and Tradesman, the recruitment is scheduled to be held on 2nd April, 2017 for the Districts of East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills, 3rd April, 2017 for the Districts of South Garo Hills, East Garo Hills and Ri Bhoi and 4th April, 2017 West Garo Hills, North Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills District.
Documentation and Medical examination of the selected candidates will be from 5th to 8th April, 2017 and the Written Test for all the selected candidates will be confirmed by issuing Admit Cards to candidates at the rally site.
Candidates should be between 17 ½ and 21 years of age for Soldier General Duty and 17 ½ and 23 years for other categories. The candidates participating in the rally will have to pass 1.6 km run, various physical tests and medical examination.
