Shillong,May 02: The Chief minister Dr Mukul Sangma said that the cabinet has approved 100 percent enhancement of salary to government aided school, including Hindi teachers and the 4th Teachers who were teaching in the SSA School.
The Chief minister said that the government is want to enhance the grant in aid to the Managing committee earlier but they could not do so since there is a demand for provicialsation, but from the government has made ample clear that the government will not provicialsation, but the government will enhance grant in aid to government aided school.
In the simpler words the chief minister said that thus teacher who get their salary hundred rupees earlier now they will get two hundred rupees which mean 100 percent enhancement in their salary. This will be effective from 1th January of 2017. It cost additional burden to the state exchanger Rs. 63.12 core annually.
The Cabinet also has approved the margin profit of IMFL retailer from 10% to 20% by amending the Meghalaya Excise duty rule 372. In Cigarette and Biri the cabinet has approved to reduce the tax from 27% to 25%. The government will take action to all illegal sale of foreign cigarettes interring into the state.
To ensure 100% electrification to rural villages the cabinet has approved the solar light scheme where the Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) the Meghalaya Renewable Agency and the state government will sign the tripartite agreement.
