Shillong, January 08: Campaign for Change eaten support to the rally against human trafficking and violence towards women and children called by TUR and the CSWO on the 11th January, 2017, the Campaign for Change, 17-North Shillong L. A. Constituency Adhoc Committee.
The said Committee was formed on the 5th January,2017 in order to campaign for change for a better tomorrow of all the people resident of the 17th North Shillong L. A. Constituency. Answering the call of Shri Pynshngainlang Syiem MLA and MDC, CEM KHADC, the person of the year to campaign for change, the Adhoc Committe has been formed with the following members.
Shri James Malngiang, Co Convenors- Shri Royal Star Tymthai and Ms Aidarilin Lyngdoh Lyngkhoi, General Secretary- Shri Kenneth Kharkongor, Asst General Secretary- Shri Sharailang Mawlieh, Organising Secretary- Shri Teral Marwein, Adviser- Shri Erwin K. Syiem Sutnga, Advocate with 20 Executive Members.
In following the words “Speak to defend good, judge fairly and righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy and uphold the nation”, all Dorbar Shnongs, Seng Kynthei and Seng Samla along with all right minded people from all walks of life are requested to join hands in the rally as they did during the agitation against the deprivation of the powers of the Rangbah Shnong and Dorbars since the recent crimes are not only against Women and Children but also against humanity.
The Committee will work by holding awareness programmes in all villages and localities of 17th North Shillong L.A. Constituency in both the the Tribal and Non Tribal areas to highlight this problem and other vital issues.
