Shillong, November 05: The Australian Runner Samantha Gash in her concluding marathon speech at Polo, Shillong after running 3000 km, she sent a message that “Education is such powerful tools that can transform community”
The Australian runner has visited eighteen world vision across India and from this marathon she has raised more tham Rs.70,86,000.00 lakh and this fund will be used by the world vision’s project in the areas of malnutrition, access to water and sanitation, child marriage, and gender bias which is all present major obstacle to quality education.
She has started her marathon from 22th August from Jaisalmer of Rajasthan in the west and concluded today in Shillong after crossing eight state of India in twelve weeks. The Australian runner expresses her privilege to have this opportunity to run across India a country with different diversity.
On reaching Shillong she was welcome by the the Commissioner secretary of the sport Department government of Meghalaya Mr F R Kharkongor along with the BPO Warjri the Chief Information government Commissioner of Meghalaya. At polo ground she was also well come by the local people in the traditional attires.
