Eight legislators in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly resign today as MLA

Shillong, December 29:  Today eight legislators in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly resign today as MLA, five MLAs from the Congress one from the UDP and two Independent.

The Congress MLAs are Mr Prestone Tynsong, Mr Rowell Lyngdoh, Sngiawbhalang Dhar, Ngaitlang Dhar, Comingone Ymbon. Mr Remingtone Pyngrope of UDP and the two Independent are Mr Hopeful Bamon and Stephanson Mukhim.

The eight MLAs submitted their resignation letter personally to the Commissioner and Secretary of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr Andrew Saimon since the speaker Mr AT Mondal is not in station.

The Congress MLA Mr Rowell Lyngdoh and Prestone Tynsong speaking to media person after they have resign as MLA, said that they have nothing to say about the Congress party but they have problem with the leadership in the state, the MPCC president Dr DD Lapang who is un able to take any decision and Dr Mukul Sangma the leader in the Legislature who do anything in his own sweet will without listening to the party.
