Maligaon, August 31: The General Manager N.F. Railway said that under instruction issued by Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal, that he has to hold meeting with all members of Parliament during the month of September.
The Railway Minister has already personally written to all Members of Parliament of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha to attend these meeting and offer their suggestions on railway related issues pertaining to their states and constituencies.
By this Railway intends to make its policy making more inclusive so that the needs of the local people are accorded paramount importance. Accordingly discussion are planned to be held with local MPs in Rangiya, Tinsukia, Alipuduar, Katihar and Lumding Division on 7th, 12th, 18th, 24th, and 28th September respectively.
It is to be mentioned that railway already has systems in place like, Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee(DRUCC) and Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee(ZRUCC ) which meet regularly for deliberations and exchange of views on various issues pertaining to passenger amenities, cleanliness, catering, punctuality.
