Shillong, August 7: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) has urged the Police department to speed up the investigation into the case of the Umlyngka alleged murder of 16 years old.
In a statement issued here, Thomas Passah, president youth wing said, “The police department needs to look into the case at the earliest and to deliver justice as the delay will embolden criminals.”
The regional party youth wing questioned the alleged police action in asking the friend of the deceased to delete whatsapp calls stating that it is not important.
KHNAM has also urged the Home Minister, Roshan Warjri to intervene in the matter and take stringent action against the criminals.
It may be reminded that a minor girl was found dead at Dam site on July 29, she was reported missing on July 24 and till date there were no leads to the case.
