Shillong, April 12: Boys Sports Company, The Mahar Regiment Centre, Saugor (MP) will be conducting a selection rally for induction of raw and proven players as Sports Cadets at the Centre from 15th – 17th May, 2017 and outstanding young boys in the sports disciplines, namely; Hockey, Archery and Boxing will be selected for induction into Boys Sports Company, The Mahar Regiment Centre, Saugor (MP).
The selection trials, physical and technical skills test in the sports discipline will be held under Sports Authority of India Coaches & Boards of Officers. The selection will remain provisional until approved by IHQ of MoD (Army)/Sports Authority of India.
Candidates should be between the age group of 11 years to 15 years as on 01 May 2017 and should have passed a minimum of class V for three disciplines with proficiency in English and Hindi. Medical Fitness will be ascertained by the Medical Officer and specialist of Sports Medicine Centre. Candidates must bring the original copies of birth certificate issued only by the Municipal Corporation and Registrar of the births & deaths, Caste certificate, Education certificate, Character certificate from Gram Pradhan/School, Residential/Domicile certificate (issued by Tehsildar or SDM, six latest colour passport size photographs and Original copy of sports participation/medal certificates in District and above levels, if any. Original to be shown and one CTC to be deposited with the application form.
Candidates are required to appear in the selection rally at their own expenses and during the period of screening, candidates and persons accompanying them should make own arrangements for their stay and transportation. Reporting time for registration will be from 7:00 AM onwards on 15th May, 2017 at The Mahar Regiment Centre, Saugor.
