Shillong, June 14: Mr Colin Kharaswai lodged a complaint at Sohra police station that during his tenure as Asst. Engineer, BDO office, Sohra, one Tngen Singh Basaiawmoit, former Accountant of BDO office, Sohra had forged his signature and misappropriate 50 percent of the amount meant for implementation of black topping of rural road.
Further, fraudulent entries were made in the Measurement Book by the accused with the knowledge of one Lyngkor Kynjing, MCS, BDO, Sohra.
In another in cindent Smti Rihun Tariang lodged a complaint at Jowai police station that on Jun. 13 morning, dead body of her husband viz., Shri Embok Pyrtuh was found hanging from a tree at Loomooiong, Mukhnang village (WJH). Deceased was reported missing since Jun. 10, 2014. (SP News)
