Shillong, August 17: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) state young wing has slammed Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh for his comment on Facebook with regards to the Khasi freedom fighter Tirot Sing Syiem.
The comment made by the Union Minister on Facebook states, “Tirot Sing Syiem was hanged by the British.”
The KHNAM state youth wing has also demanded that the Union Minister should immediately apologies for his comments.
In this connection, Thomas Passah president KHNAM state youth wing said, “This clearly shows that this Union Minister had step foot on the birth place of U Tirot Sing without any knowledge about the events that took place.”
The KHNAM has condemned the actions of the Union Minister for trying to mislead the history of the people in the state.
