Shillong, June 22: Kripa Foundation Shillong and 61 Meghalaya Girls Bn NCC conducted an Awareness Rally on 22 June 16 against substance abuse to commemorate the “International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking”. Before the rally, a talk was organized by Kripa foundation to educate the cadets about effects of drugs & other substance abuse
The rally was flagged off by Camp Commandant Col P C Pawar from 119 TA bnBishnupur .Around 150 NCC cadets formed part of the rally and were carrying placards depicting the harmful effects of Drug use. The placards were prepared by NCC cadets themselves during a Poster Making Competition held on 21 Jun 16.They chanted anti-drugs slogans & implored the masses to refrain from substance use.
The rally was conducted in collaboration with Kripa Foundation and covered a distance of appx 6 KMs covering area in & around Laban & culminated at 119 Bn TA Bishnupur.
