Shillong, October 17: Home Department, government of Meghalaya today has made a major reshuffle in the police department by way of transfer of the police officer affecting all section in the police department as the state get ready for the general election to the Meghalaya Legislative early next year 2018.
Today on the notification issued today from the home department on the recommendation of the Civil Service Board, Mr Mukesh Kumar Singh (IPS) the DIG of police Western range Tura was transfer and posted as DIG of police CID. Mr Ominus Pasi (IPS)assistant inspector general of Police Law and Order is transfer as in-charge as deputy inspector general Western Range, Tura.
Mr Ricky Dkhar (IPS) Special superintendent of police (SB-1) is transfer and posted as in- charge Deputy Inspector General of police (Security) Shillong, Mr Heimon Toi (IPS) superintendent of Police (Anti-Infiltration) Tura was transfer and posted as superintendent of police (Anti-Infiltration) Meghalaya
Mr G K Iangrai (MPS) was transfer and posted as assistant inspector general of police (East), Mr Maxwell B Syiem (MPS) of the 3rd MLP Battalion was transfer and posted as Superintendent of Police (SB-1) and M Kharkrang (IPS) was transfer and he was posted as Special Superintendent of police (SB-1).
Smti Aprilish. Ch, Sangma (MPS) was transfer from 2rd in command SF-10 Shillong and posted as superintendent of police anti infiltration, Tura, Mr Ritu Raj Ravi (IPS) additional Superintendent of North Garo Hills was transfer and posted as assistant inspector general of police Law and order.
Mr Chemphang Syrti (MPS) additional superintendent of Police West Jiantia Hills was transfer and posted as Commandant 3rd MLP battalion Khliehtyrshi.
