Shillong, August 22: Two occupant of a Maruti van coming from Mylliem sustained injuries when the vehicle was involved in a collision with a Maruti local taxi at Baniun under Mylliem Block, East Khasi Hills District. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance base in Mawphlang helped in shifting Relisjune Kharkongor (24years/male) and Kynshawspa Synrem (30years/female) to Pomlum PHC and then to Shillong Civil Hospital. The incident happened on the 21st of August, 2016 at 1:36 P.M.
An Aizawl bound TATA Sumo (MZ01J – 8640) from Guwahati overturned after it collided head on with a truck (AS17B – 2461) at Umsning under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District on the 21st of August, 2016 at 11:42 A.M. Two passenger travelling on the TATA Sumo, M. P. Singh (38years/male) and Lalmawi (48years/male) sustained injuries and have been shifted by the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Umsning to Umsning CHC. M. P. Singh was later referred to Shillong Civil Hospital.
A pillion rider fell off from the motorbike and sustained injuries when the motorbike hit a road divider at 14th Mile under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District. The incident happened on the 21st of August, 2016 at 4:10 A.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Byrnihat helped in shifting the pillion rider Biju Marak (30years/male) to Downtown Hospital in Guwahati, Assam.
