Shillong, July 06: Indian Air Force will be holding a massive recruitment drive specially for the NORTH EAST. Air Headquarters Delhi through the Airmen Selection Centre at Guwahati will be holding a mega recruitment rally for all states of North East excluding Manipur and Sikkim. The rally for eligible candidates will be held from July 13 to 17, 2014. It will be organized at No. 11 Airmen Selection Centre, VIP Chowk, Borjhar, Guwahati. On 13 July, the rally will be for MIZORAM AND CACHAR, CHERANG, DARRANG, JORHAT, KARIMGANJ, KARBI ANGLONG, LAKHIMPUR, NORTH CACHAR HILLS, NAGAON, SIBSAGAR, SONITPUR, GOLAGHAT, TINSUKIA, DIBRUGARH, DHEMAJI, MARIGAON, and HILAKANDI Districts of Assam and on 15 July, the rally will be held for MEGHALAYA, ARUNACHAL PRADESH , NAGALAND, TRIPURA AND BARPETA, BAKSA, BONGAIGAON, DHUBRI, GOALPARA, KAMRUP, KAMRUP(METRO), KOKRAJHAR, NALBARI, and UDALGURI DISTRICTS OF ASSAM. The Rally exclusively for the candidates of North East is being held after a gap of three years. It is for recruitment to Group ‘Y’ (Non Technical) {only for Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police )} trades. It is wonderful opportunity for the un-married male youth of NE to get selected for a glorious career in the Indian Air Force. The selection will be based on Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) followed by interview for the candidates qualified in written and PFT. The selection will be primarily on 13 and 15 Jul. (Extra days 14 and 16 July are for spill over of interviews, if not completed on the same day.) The silver lining is that the candidates will know their fate in the selection process on the same day i,e 13 and 15 July.
To be eligible for recruitment, the Candidates should be born between 01 Nov 1994 to 30 Nov 1997, should have passed the Intermediate or 10+2 or Equivalent Examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed two years Vocational Course.
