Shillong, February 27: Living up to its promise of creating a farmer friendly Meghalaya, a pledge taken on the third Meghalaya Farmer’s Day, BJP Kisan Morcha led by its President Ralden Bryan Shabong and General Secretary Bijit Khongsit distributed seeds and Bio organic pesticides to the farmers at Umsaw Mawjynrong Mawlai, Shillong.
The packed event was also attended by agricultural scientists and organic cultivation experts who shared new age farming methods with the agrarian community.
Those attending were also benefitted by the information they received on schemes of Shri Narendra Modi’s Govt. schemes designed specifically for rural and economically backward sections.
