Shillong, April 13: Meghalaya Education Minister Mr Lahkmen Rymbui today table, The University of Technology and Management (Amendment) Bills,2018, the objective of this bill is to change the name from the The University of Technology and Management (UTM) to Maharashtra Institute of Technology of Meghalaya.The amendment is to change the existing Sub-Section (zb) of section 2 of the principal act.
Mr Lahkmen, today table the Meghalaya State Education Council Bill, 2018. The objective of this bill is to establish a State Higher Education Council as a collective of the government, Universities, Colleges, Academic experts to promote excellence and social justice by the government in policy formulation and prospective planning.
