Shillong, March 11: It is being informed that in line with the State motto ‘to improve the Nutritional Indicators of the State’ and as decided by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Meghalaya will be organizing the Healthy Child Campaign Programme.
In a campaign mode from the 2l’t – 2711′ March,2022 in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department, C&RD and the Education Department. In this collaborative campaign concerted effort will be made to mobilize all the parents and care-givers of children from 0 – 6 years.
This to measure the weight and height of children across the State during this week at respective Anganwadi Centers, schools and other places identified by the District Administration. Said Mr. Sampath Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Social Welfare Department.
This campaign will Ied by the concerned District Teams headed by the Deputy Commissioners who will plan and organize this event in their respective districts.
All parents and other concerned community members are requested to participate in this mobilization exercise to generate awareness and community action towards improving the nutritional status of children in the state.
The parents and the Guardians can also register through the Poshan tracker website which is poshantracker.in. The oftice ofthe respective Deputy Commissioners and the District Programme Officers of the ICDS and the office of the Child Development project officer.
