Meghalaya Govt decided to closed temporarily all the entry points in the state for 8 days: Prestone

Shillong, July 15: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Mr Prestone Tynsong today inform that the Government of Meghalaya has decided  to temporally closed down all the entry point in the state of Meghalaya from midnight 0f 23rd July 2020 to 31st July 2020.

The Deputy Chief Minister Mr Prestone said that during this period only medical emergency, including Military and Para military, essential commodities and transit vehicles from Assam will be allowed to enter Meghalaya.

The entry point that the Government of Meghalaya has set up are, Ratachera, Mirjumla, Trikkilla, Bajengdoba, Hilagandi and Byrnihat. Others entry point to Meghalaya Like Boko, Khanduli and Korompany this has been entrusted to  the police to closed entry of people to the state.

During this closure period, the Government has decided to shift the entry of Byrnihat near Byrnihat bridge as the government of Assam has objected the present entry point that the Government of meghalaya has set up. All the entry point will again reopen on the 01st Agust 2020.

The Government has taken this decision as all the health workers and District Administration is exhausted as they are working day and night in the last four month, so they need to relax, during this closure period they will be attending working on the topic behaviour change in their respective places.
