Shillong, May 21: A medical camp was organized by Assam Regimental Centre today in collaboration with a NGO from Shillong. The medical camp was on detection of breast cancer in women. The doctors along with equipment from Roko Cancer Organisation arrived on 21 May 2016 at 0900 hrs to conduct the camp.
More 131 ladies under went screening for breast cancer. The ladies were also educated on the symptoms for self physical examination for early detection of Breast Cancer by the doctors of Roko Cancer Organisation. This event was conducted as a welfare measure and a precursor to Platinum Jubilee of The Assam Regiment.
