Shillong, September 15: Today is the last day for the Congress party to issued application form to the aspirants MLA candidate who want to seek party ticket for the election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly due in early 2018.
Party functionary of the Congress said that more than hundred applications have been bought by aspiring candidates who want to contest from the party ticket. The clear picture on constituency wise will be able to disclose to the media only on coming Tuesday said one of the congress members in the MPCC.
Out of the 60 MLA Assembly Constituencies there are few constituency they have not issued application form. Sources said that is likely that sitting MLA will join the Congress party at the appropriate time. This is the reason why application form was not issued in few Constituencies.
