MPCC fax to the CEC asking why by-election was held simultaneously South Tura and Ranikor

Shillong, July 24: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) sent the petition with the Election Commissioner of India by sending a Fax message today to the Chief Election Commissioner asking while by- election was not held simultaneously in the South Tura and Ranikor Constituency.

The spokesperson of the MPCC Mr Himalaya M Shangpliang told SP News Agency over phone that they are sending the fax message to Chief Election Commissioner of India, that why by-election could not be held simultaneously South Tura and Ranikor Constituency in Meghalaya.

Mr Shangpliang said that the MLA from Ranikor reign before the MLA from South Tura tenders the resignation, but when it come to the by-election the Election Commission of India announced that the election only for South Tura (ST) Assembly Constituency.
