Shillong, November 21: The Sitting Congress legislator from Pynthorumkhrah Constituency and a former cabinet minister Mr A L Hek today filed an FIR with the Superintendent of Police of the East KHasi Hills District that rumours had speared that unknown people said that money was distributed in his name.
In the Fir file before the SP of the Khasi Hills District, Mr Hek said that “ I would like to inform you that, some unknown people have spread the rumours’ that, I am distributing Rs.5000/- to each person not only in my constituency but also the people outside my constituency”.
In the FIR Mr Hek also said that “due to this rumours resulting to hundreds of peoples every day from many places are thronging to my residence and my office since morning till night, which is creating unwanted understanding among people and destabilizing my daily work, which is completely fraudulent act of some party to tarnish my image in public”. The former minister urged upon the SP to investigate the matter at the earliest possible.
Speaking to media person Mr Hek said that since the rumours spread not less than seven hundred people has come to him asking for money, he said when he asked them who told that, the answers he got from them that they have heard this rumours that is why they are coming.
Mr Hek said that in order to get hold of thus people who has spread this rumours he had file this FIR so that anyone who is spreading this rumours will be book accordingly. This rumours is just to tarnished his he image in publice, said Mr Hek.
