Shillong, June 28: The Government of Meghalaya has appointed Additional Chief Secretary Mr P Barkos Oflyn Warjri as the new Chief Secretary, he will take over from the incumbent Chief Secretary W.M.S. Pariat who is retiring on June 30.
The official notification issued on Friday, mr Warjri will will also function as State Vigilance Commissioner with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
At present Mr Warjri is in charge of Soil & Water Conservation, Forest and Environment departments and also as the Chairman of Administrative Reforms.(SP News)
