Shillong, March 29: Mr. Pillan T. Sangma, advocate of the High Court of Meghalaya, has file another Misc. case application vide MC(PIL) 2 of 2019 in PIL- 4 of 2018 Praying for repairing and widening the road from Rongsak Tinali road connecting from NH-34 Rongsak Tinali to Williamnagar town and its adjoining areas.
In the PIL it include also for construction, repairing of road starting from Simsang RCC bridge starting from Williamnagar to Sarnanda Block via Nengsang Adutie Durama and also to complete the construction of pending Rongap Bridge Dotong at Baija which is in between Ronak Tinati connectinh to Wiliamnagar main Town.
In the same Misc. Case application also further prayed for immediate repairing of Road from Garobada to Selsela, Selseta to Rajabala, Rajabala to pulbari and pulbari to Tikirkilla of South West Garo Hills which fall under PWD Department, Goverment of Methalaya stating therein that road condition of Garobada to Selsela, Selsela to Rajabala, Rajabala to putbari and pulbari to Tikirkilla js very pathetic and miserable condidation.
The Government of Meghalaya, particularly the PWD Department had been neglecting to repair the road condition of the above mentioned pleases therefore, Advocate Pillan T. Sangma has filed an application seeking the direction from the Hon’ble High Court of Meghalaya to issue direction to the concerned PWD Department, for immediate repairing of the road mentioned in the above.
In this regard, the Hon’ble High Court of Meghalaya in vide order dated 29.03.2019 has pleased to issue the notice and further directed the concerned PWD Department , Government of Meghalaya to file their Affidavit in respect of the road condition of Williamnagar as well as Garobada to Selsea, Rajabala and Trikikila within the period of three weeks.
ln the earlier occasion Mr. P. T. Sangma has also filed the Misc Case No. 3 of 2018 with a prayer to direct the concerned PWD Department Government of Meghalaya to construct and repair the road from Tura to Baghmara, Baghinala to Siju cave and Baghmara via Rongara to Balpakam National Park and the Hon’ble High Court vide order dated 29.11.2018 has directed all the different concerned contractor to complete those road before 15.01.2019 and 31.01.2019 respectively said Mr Kingstone Bolwari Marak Joint Secretary A,chick Holistic Awakening Movement, Tura in the press statement issued today.
