Shillong, February 23: A Review Meeting of various Govt. of India projects in the North Eastern Region funded by North Eastern Council (NEC), Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region was held today at NEC Secretariat, Shillong. Senior Officers from Planning and Development Deptt. and other Departments of various North Eastern States attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ram Muivah, Secretary, NEC emphasized on proper and timely utilization of the allocations and submission of Utilization Certificates by States. He also emphasized on creation of more projects of regional character and not merely state specific. Shri K. H. Kharshiing, Planning Adviser, NEC Shri G.K. Chin, Financial Adviser, Shri W. Synrem and Shri D. Khound, Economic Advisers, besides other senior Officers from NEC spoke on development activities funded by NEC in the North Eastern Region on the occasion.
