Shillong, April 10: The Pageant contest ‘Mrs South Asia, India 2017 will be held in the national capital New Delhi which will commence from 22th and the finale will be on the 25th of this month. All together there will be 28 participants from different states of India will participate.
Mrs Sabina Parves Warjri former Miss Shillong will represent Meghalaya in this mega event and if she is crowning Mrs South Asian 2017, she will be representing India in the International arena. The theme of this contest is Empowerment of Women. Mrs Warjri thanks the Director Maam Joshi and all the members for their support to participate in this contest.
The former Miss Shillong, said that this beauty pageant is not only about being beautiful and walking in the ramp, it is a pageant with a vision, and the two main agenda is Women empowerment and environment, she said that she has an opportunity in planting trees, she said we all knows about the global warming.
Mrs Sabina urged the people of the state to support her and wish her a good luck so that she can make the state proud if she could win this coveted title ‘Mrs South Asia India 2017’ and she will have an opportunity to represent the country internationally.
Mrs Irish Manju, express her regret that the Indian government has never sponsor this type of event when women has to represent the country in the international event. She recall when she represent Indian in 2015, there is no support from the government. Her argument is valid when they participate in the International level they represent the country.
