Shillong, March 18: The Returning Officer, 1-Shillong (ST) Parliamentary Constituency has informed that Nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or any of his proposers to the Returning Officer at his Office Chamber (Room No. 301) or to the Assistant Returning Officer at Deputy Commissioner Office between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on any day (other than public holiday) not later than 25th March, 2019. Forms of Nomination paper may be obtained at the place and times aforesaid.
Nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny on the 26th March, 2019 at the Office Chamber of the Returning Officer (Room No. 301) at 3:00 PM. Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered either by a candidate or his proposer or his election agent (who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the Returning Officer or to the Assistant Returning Officer at their Office Chamber before 3:00 PM on the 28thMarch, 2019.
In the event of the election being contested, the poll will be taken on the 11th April, 2019 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
