Shillong, July 18: One day Continued Medical Education program and a workshop on different Cadaveric Ear Surgeries was organized by the Department of ENT , Head and Neck Surgery, was organized in NEIGRIHMS.
The theme of the programe was Basic and Advances in ENT. Prof Dr.D.M Thappa the Director NEIGRIHMS inaugurated the program as the chief guest. The Director briefed the importance of continuing medical education and its impact on Medical Sciences.
He also stressed for organising such type of academic activities regularly in the Institute.”Such CME’s and related academic activities keep the Doctors abreast about latest developments and new treatment modalities in medical sciences” said the Director.
Dr. Deepak Haldipur, Eminent ENT Surgeon, the President of Association of Otolaryngologists(ENT) of India was the Guest faculty on the occasion. Around 15 delegates from Meghalaya and adjacent state of Assam, Nagaland and Sikkim attended the CME. The program covered lectures, video demonstration and surgical workshop in cadaver dissection and demonstration of different ear surgeries.
