Shillong, February 21: On Monday night the police come to know that the GNLA cadre who are serving demand note at Riangdim Village, in the West Khasi Hills District, base on the information the police launch the operation the area.
On reaching Riangdim market area, an encounter took place between GNLA and the said police team whereby one GNLA cadre was shot dead during the encounter from the incident site the police have recover one .22 Rifle, 70 rounds of AK 47 ammunition,One 7.65 pistol, Two 7.65 pistol magazine ,3 pistol magazine , 5 round of .22 ammunition , 5 round 7.65 ammunition ,2 monile phone,10 books of GNLA demand note pad and one camouflage jacket.
The police also recover on GNLA Identity Card in the name of Walamdaria M Sangma army no.797 recovered from body of the deceased. The police said that the combing operation in the area is still continuing to flash out the militant.
