People of Dalu are facing power problem for non-functioning of the MeECL sub-station

Shillong, July 23: The Mother Union of the Dalu Unit West  Garo Hills Unit in the memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister of the state, mention that the residence of Dalu area of South Garo Hills are facing problem for non-functioning of the MeECL sub-station in the area.

In the memorandum, the mother union of West Garo Hills said that the people are facing problem in getting electricity since the power sub-station in the area is not functioning according to the rules and regulation of the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL).

The MeECL is not supply power sufficiently to the people after paying their dues, and the employees are not attending their duties to restore when the line is disrupted. The Union also pointed out the hardship face by the employee of the sub-station that they do not have vehicles for their movement to perform their duties.

This mother Union from South Garo Hills also mention about the plight of the police station building of the Dalu police station at Barengapara where there is no RCC wall and they also urged the Chief Minister to have a police women cell in the police station.
