Shillong, July 19: On 18/7/2016, a complaint was received from Smti. Naina Chettri of Nongmynsong that on the 13.07.16 at about 2.30 P.M to 3.00 P.M when she returned home she found that her gold locket worth Rs. 13,000/- Rupees Thirteen thousand only which was kept inside the Godrej under lock is missing.
Nongmynsong Police immediately took up the investigation and arrested one suspect Mr. Raju Dorjee, on his leading the stolen gold necklace was recovered and seized from the possession of Smti. Neelu Sunar of Naspatighari, Jhalupara, Shillong to whom he had sold.
Also a cash of Rs. 220/- only was recovered from his possession which is the remaining money from the sale. Most of the cash received by the accused was spent in buying drugs.
