Shillong, July 01: On getting information of Fake Indian Currency Notes (F.I.C.N.) being circulated in Shillong City, the Special Cell from the Super On getting information of Fake Indian Currency Notes (F.I.C.N.) being circulated in Shillong City, the Special Cell of S.P’s Office was activated and surveillance mounted on some suspicious vehicles.
One of the suspicious vehicle was intercepted at Lad Smit today at 12.00 Noon and during checking inside, Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) amounting to Rs 1,43,500/- was found and seized. The arrested persons were Smti Teimon Chyrmang, of Jalaphet, East Jaintia, Shri Chemi Phawa, of Myntdu, West Jaintia Hills, and Smti Lorisloma Siangshai, Wapung Skur,ast Jaintia Hills.
The vehicle being registration No. ML 05 M 3976 used for transportation of the Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) has been seized.
