Shillong, January 08: The Police of Mawngap outpost today at around 2.15 AM in the early hour this morning manage to rescued the three weeks old baby girl from Unran village in Ri Bhoi District who was kidnap from Mawngap Village of East Khasi Hills District on the Saturday evening.
Police told SP News Agency that the baby girl was the daughter of Smti Shibani Khyriem and the alleged kidnaper Smti Saralinda Kharphuli was her neighbour, the child parents when they found that their baby was not at home they immediately inform the police at Mawngap Police outpost.
The police take immediate action by searching the baby and they manage to rescued the bay from the residence of Smti Sandan Kharlyngdoh from Ri Bhoi District. The police arrested the accused and forwarded to court today. The police will investigate the reason behind this kidnaping case.
The police said that they have not arrested the house owner, but if required they will be arrest, the police after completing the formalities has handed the child to the relative today. The police has register the case under section 363 IPC in the kidnaping case.
