Shillong, June 11: The Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma while addressing the crowd at Umkor, Urksew Pynursla stadium to tens of thousands of people who come to witness the final football matched organized by the local club, said that the road from Shillong to Dawki will be converted to the world class road connecting Bangladesh.
In this public meeting in the present of the Local MLA who is also a minister in the Government Mr Prestone Tynsong, The Chief Minister said that Pynursla ia naw a new Civil Sub Division, where the crowd cheers with joy, but the Chief minister did not spell out when it will be inaugurated the new Sub Division.
Chief Minister congratulate the Riwar area for it patience in football and Aiborlang Khongjee whos is a well known player in the Indian football hail from this area. In his speech he mentions the memorandum submitted by the club for up gradation of the stadium the chief minister said that it is well scripted.
He also announced that the Football Mission will be launched in the state within few weeks from now, he encourage people to form sport club in every nook and corner of the state, the government will construct play ground in different part off the state to convert Meghalaya into power house of Football in the country, if India enter world cup in the near future Meghalaya should be able to produce players.
