Shillong, June 20: The Office of the National Commission for Schedule Tribe that cater to the need of the North Eastern State including Sikkim having its office in Shillong will soon shifted to Guwahati. This office was looking after by the Assistant Director.
Sources said that shifting the office of National Commission for ST from Shillong to Guwahati is eminent, the decision had already taken by the Commission.
Speaking to SP News Agency, the Assistant Director said that the head office has taken the decision that this office who is looking for the North Eastern state has taken a decision to shift to Guwahati which is the gate way to the North East.
To take a final call it all deepen on the Chair person of the commission, thought it was decided to shift the office from Shillong to Guwahati but till now no final order has been taken. The office is looking,Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
