Shillong, April 08: The Shillong Cricket Association in collaboration with District Sports Office, EKH District will organize the 6th Ondromoni Dkhar Memorial (Under 19) and the 9th IP Das Memorial ( Under 16) Inter School Cricket Tournament 2014 at the Cricket Grounds, Polo from April 10 to May 6, 2014.
There are 8 schools in the Under 19 and 14 schools in the Under 16 categories vying for the prestigious championship trophy. The matches will be on a league basis of 25 overs each innings for all categories. The inaugural match will be played in the Under 16 category where defending champions St. Anthony’s HS School will take on Shillong Secondary School and St.Xavier’s Secondary School will take on Laitumkhrah Bengalee School in the second match.
The tournament will have various prizes from champion, runner up, best batsman, best bowler, best wicket keeper, best fielder, man of the finals, man of the tournament and the best discipline school award.(SP News)
