Shopkeeper in Iewduh expresses their happiness that the market is open after three months

Shillong, June 22: After three month Iewduh was reopen today after it was closed down due to COVID-19. Though shops will be open in alphabetical order on an alternate day, shopkeepers express their happiness that the market is open after three month of closing down due to COVID-19.

Speaking to media one of the shopkeeper without naming him, said that  he is happy that Iewduh Market start re-opening today, though shops will be allowed to open on alphabetical order he is happy that he will be able to open his shop twice in a week as his shop is “A”.

He also said that most of the items are damaged since it was closed for stretch of three month this cannot be avoided, he hope that everything will be smooth so that will not face against the same  problems in days to come.

Other shopkeepers also echo the same feeling, they are happy that they are able to re open their shop after three months of closing down. They also mention that some perishable items were spoil since shop was closed down for three months.

When asked about the Standard Of Procedures (SOP), they are aware about it that they have to maintain social distancing, they have to keep hand sanitizer in their shop and not to allowed to be crowded in the shop.
