Shillong, January 12: The Meghalaya police arrested Six persons, including two women, were arrested and heroin was seized from their possession after the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), East Khasi Hills raided one house at Nongkhyriem, Nongthymmai, Shillong on Wednesday night. During the search operation, police recovered and seized heroin weighing 1.25 gms in a golden tin container.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sujata Chettri 22 years staying in Pohkseh, Zonunmawii Pachuau 21 years from Happy Valley, Rohit Barua 21 years from 4th Furlong Polo, Rakesh Barua 22 years from 4th Furlong Polo, Sujoy Ghosh from Pynthorbah Block-1 and Pranjit Chayenggia 22 years from Dhankheti.
The police have observed about their movement for a quite some time beafre they raided the house Nongkhyriem in Nongthymmai.
