Shillong, May 26: Smti Miani D Shira Congress Candidate contesting in the By-Election from Ampati Constituency today files the First Information Report (F.I.R) with the Ampati Police Station against home Minister Mr James Sangma and South Tura MLA Agatha Sangma for alleged violation of election code of conduct and misuse of power.
In the FIR the congress Candidate said that “Agatha and James were there at Taktaki and tried to enter people’s houses and were distributing money to vote in favor of the NPP candidate but someone from the house called the Congress workers and they immediately reached the place” mention Smti Miani Shira in the FIR.
Smti Miani said that Mr James used his escort party to search and seize they congress workers car with no evidence. Again James’ escort party searched the Congress workers car twice and did not find anything later on they placed the sharp weapons from their own vehicles and clicked a picture.
The Congress Candidate said that “The car that was intercepted with the sharp weapons was a grey bolero and our boys car was a white Scorpio”. Smti Miani said that there were fleet of vehicles of NPP side including 11 police escort gypsy.
After reaching the spot Mr Daryl had asked the magistrates to take the fingerprints on the sharp weapon however Miss Agatha defended saying since their people have already touched it while checking it won’t be fair however it’s because they themselves only places those weapons from grey bolero and clicked pictures alleged Miani Shira.
The Congress Candidate said that, in Miss Agatha’s statement she said the Congress workers were following and threatening them but all NPP cars were facing the opposite direction” cliam Smti Miani D Shira.
