Shillong, May 31: The counting for the by election to the 53-Ampati Constituency in South West Garo Hills District was held today and the Congress Candidate Smti Miani D Shira 27 years won the election by defeated her NPP rival candidate Mr Clement G Momin with the margin of 3271 vote.
The Congress candidate poll 14399 and the NPP candidate poll 11068 and the Independent candidate poll 360. NOTA 208.With the completion of the election process in the 53-Ampati Constituency the Meghalaya Assembly now has the full member of 60 in the house.
