Shillong, July 14: The Social Welfare Minister Smti Debora CH Marak said that the government has already implemented the 3 percent job reservation for the disable person in the state.
On the demand for IAY and AAY scheme the minister told the Khasi Disabilities Association (KDA) who met her today in her chamber said that the government is following the guideline issued by the GOI all thus illegible person they are entitle to avail the scheme.
The Government has enhanced the monthly stipend for the disable person from Rs.200 to Rs. 500 per month. On their demand to enhance up to Rs.5000 per month the matter will be taken with the Government.
The KDA today has submitted the 12 point chatters of demand from the Government to assist the disable person in the state. The organization has in form the minister that MUDA has not kept any reservation of seat in the JUNRM Buses.
On the educational the minister told the KDA that if they fine any institution denying admission for the disable inform her so that action can be taken against thus institution. (SP News)
