Shillong, January 17: The State BJP Meghalaya state Unit, particularly the Mahila Morcha, will write to the central government to intervene in the alleged trafficking in the state of Meghalaya for central Bureau Investigation (CBI) to get fair investigation from an independent body since legislator were alleged to be involved.
Speaking to media person today in the office of the BJP in Shillong, The president of the Mahlila Morch Smti Biangka Kyndiah said that it was sad to see that rape against women and Children is rampant, the BJP blame the state government for its failure to protect people’s lives.
What more shocking is the that legislators were alleged to be involved in this crimes, the BJP felt that the investigation machineries from the state will not do justice since the place of occurrence is the quest house run by the relative of the Home Minister Mr HDR Lyngdoh and the alleged perpetrator were legislator.
The Mahila Morcha will soon write to the central government seek the intervention from the center to deputy with an independent inquiry so that justice will be done and whoever involved in the trafficking case must be punshied as per law.
