Shillong, Sept 18: The Border Security Force, Frontier HQ Shillong recently organized ‘Hindi Diwas’ where officers and other members of the Frontier Border Security Force, Meghalaya were present during the function.
The importance of Hindi was deliberated upon by various speakers emphasizing our National language as well as official language. Hindi is one of the most spoken language for communication in almost all parts of the country. People clearly understand and express their views in Hindi language this language is deep rooted in the society.
During `Hindi Pakhwada’, Quiz, Noting or drafting, essay writing and typing competitions in Hindi were organized by BSF from 1st Sept onwards as per the directions of Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Mr Ashok Kumar, DIG Operation and President of Rajbhasha Committee distributed prizes to the BSF personnel who obtained first, second and third positions in various competitions and congratulated them. Mr Kumar congratulated all Sentinels of Border Meghalaya Frontier BSF FOR achieving 3rd position in Inter Frontier Rajbhasha Shield Yojana for the year 2017-18 among all the Frontiers in BSF all over India.
Mr Kumar said Hindi is our national language and we need to promote Hindi as it promotes togetherness and unity. As the language makes a strong base for every nation for connection among common masses, so we should make an efforts and put emphasized in Hindi.
He also emphasized the performance of personnel especially who belong to Non-Hindi speaking areas and encouraged to participate in all events during `Hindi Pakhwada’. DIG Operation requested all Officers and Subordinate Officers and other ranks of the organizations to promote and encouraged others to work in Hindi.
