The BSF has organized a civic action programme as part of Border Management Plan at Shillong

Shillong, January 13: The Border Security Force has organized a civic action programme as part of Border Management Plan at Shillong Darbar Secondary School in Lankading, Nongmynsong, Shillong, East Khasi Hills distt­­­­ of Meghalaya on 13th Jan’ 2017.

Our country is moving forward with great pace in the field of IT and digitalization. In the present era of net Banking e-ticketing and e-commerce life without basic knowledge of IT skill cannot be thought of. Keeping this aspect in mind, the Border Security Force, during the civic action programme, two Nos computer with their all accessories, two nos computer chair, table and study material worth Rs, 01 Lac distributed to the school children. The BSF had been organizing such programmes in the past and plans to continue the same in the future also.

Civic Action programme was conducted to improve the quality of life and welfare to poor children and to upgrade the existing infrastructure and create new avenues for bringing positive changes in the life of the local children.

Shri Ranveer Singh Shakhtawat, Deputy Inspector General, Border Security Force, Sector HQ Mawpat, Shillong inaugurated the programme, graced the occasion and also distributed above items. Through civic action programme, SHQ BSF Shillong has made it’s effort to create a feeling of oneness, security and wished the locals the very best in their future endeavors.  The teachers and all the students appreciated the efforts made by the BSF.
