The BSF organized Civic Action Programmes at Baghmara, South Garo Hills District

Shillong,  March 15: The BSF apart from serving the nation on International Borders, took the initiative of assisting the border area population through Civic Action Programmes by providing needful items to needy villagers for their livelihood and medical assistance to have healthy and happy life.

On 15th Mar’ 2022, during a Civic Action Programme organized by 43 Bn BSF at Baghmara, South Garo Hills, Sh. Inderjeet Singh Rana, Inspector General Meghalaya Frontier HQ BSF dispensed surgical equipments to district hospital Baghmara in the presence of senior officers BSF and villagers of Baghmara.

The effort was wholeheartedly praised by medical fraternity of Baghmara. Apart from that, in another Civic Action Programme organised by 193 Bn BSF at bordering village Sonatolla, East Khasi Hills, various items like utensils, sports items, computers etc were distributed among villagers.

During the event, about 300 villagers were also medically examined and given free medicines by the veteran doctors of BSF .Inspector General, BSF Meghalaya assured to continue such efforts in future also and to stand by bordering populace in the time of need.
